Silvi Neykova
In a world that often feels rushed, noisy, and overwhelming, I offer a calm and supportive space where you can slow down and feel genuinely heard. My work is for people who are longing for something more authentic. A place to make sense of their inner world, reconnect with themselves, and find steadier ground.
I work relationally and integratively, meaning the therapeutic relationship sits at the heart of the work we do together. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and compassionate with ourselves. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you. It is about understanding your story, recognising patterns that may no longer serve you, and gently opening up new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I support individuals and couples who feel anxious, low, stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their relationships or direction in life. Many people I work with carry the weight of past experiences, loss, or trauma, and may struggle with self-worth, connection, or a sense of meaning. I bring warmth, presence, and active engagement into the therapy room, working alongside you rather than observing from a distance.
My approach is shaped by experience across NHS and voluntary sector settings, alongside advanced academic training. I pay close attention to attachment, trauma, culture, and the personal meanings we make of our experiences, always tailoring the work to you as an individual.
I hold a BSc in Integrative Counselling, an MSc in Psychology, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Family Therapy. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Psychological Society (BPS), and the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT). I am currently completing a professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology through the Academy of Existential Training in partnership with Middlesex University.
My clinical experience includes work at the Family Therapy Clinic in South London and Maudsley Hospital, trauma-focused counselling at Women’s Aid for survivors of historical and current sexual abuse, and supporting clients with anxiety and depression through Lambeth Talking Therapies (NHS IAPT). I have also provided open-ended, long-term counselling at The Awareness Centre and supported high-risk, suicidal individuals at The Listening Place.
