About
Wild Women is a therapist-led, closed exploratory group for eight women to come together and explore the lived experience of womanhood in all its complexity.
Drawing on existential psychotherapy and Emmy van Deurzen’s Four Worlds Model, each session explores the physical, social, personal and spiritual dimensions of lived experience.
The group offers a space to think together, exchange ideas, sit with uncertainty and explore what it means to live authentically within the expectations, possibilities and contradictions of contemporary womanhood.
What to expect
Week 1 — Opening & Connection
Introductions, icebreakers and establishing a group contract to create a shared framework for the group.
Week 2 — The Physical World
Exploring our relationship with our bodies, embodiment, sexuality, health, ageing, appearance and the physical realities of being a woman.
Week 3 — The Social World
Exploring relationships, family, culture, work, gender expectations, belonging and the wider social world in which womanhood is lived.
Week 4 — The Personal World
Exploring identity, freedom, choice, values, authenticity, emotions and the ways we understand ourselves.
Week 5 — The Spiritual World
Exploring meaning, purpose, beliefs, spirituality, mortality and the questions that arise when we consider what makes life meaningful.
Week 6 — Closing Reflections
Time to reflect on what has emerged, what has been discovered and what each participant is taking away from the conversation.
